In Literacy, Geography and History we have been learning about London.  Some children have been to London and were able to tell us about landmarks and places they have visited.  We looked at maps and google earth to see what was there and talked about the human and physical features.  We used ‘Paddington in London’ as a core text and learned about The Tower of London and the River Thames.

In PE we have been learning some cheerleading moves, and creating a sequence in pairs and groups.  This was fun!!  We have been continuing with our gymnastics work in PE with Mrs Knight on Wednesdays.  When dry, we have been outside to practice ball skills, team games and skipping on the playground.

We have been sorting and learning about materials in science.  Thinking about properties of materials and what they are suitable for.

In Art we have enjoyed learning about the collage artist Megan Coyle.  She creates amazing pictures using a range of materials.  We are going to make our own pictures inspired by her.

Multiplication has been fun to learn about.  We all know about commutative multiplication and we can record our learning using different equations.  We use ten frames, rekenreks and one hundred squares to support us when we are working.
